More renders of the HONOR 80 GT revealed, to feature large 74mm thermal materials for better cooling

Previously, we reported that HONOR is set to unveil the HONOR 80 GT in China next Monday (26 December 2022) and now, more details of the device have been revealed by the company. These include official renders of the smartphone’s design as well as its cooling system and thermal performance.

Taking to its official Weibo account, HONOR showcased the upcoming device’s design in several posters. These include showing off its flat design, elongated rectangle triple-camera setup module and a punch-hole cutout in the top-middle of the display.

Furthermore, HONOR also revealed the HONOR 80 GT’s thermal performance, claiming that the device recorded only 37.3 degrees Celsius when playing MOBA titles. This is in part thanks to the large 74mm thermal materials under the hood, as well as a vapour chamber liquid cooling mechanism. 

Besides that, HONOR also confirmed that the device will be relatively lightweight at 187g and has a thickness of 7.9mm. Previous rumours have pointed to the HONOR 80 GT to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, 66W fast charging, a 54MP main camera and a 120Hz OLED panel. However, these specs are yet to be confirmed by the Chinese tech company.
