HONOR 9A is scheduled to launch globally on 23 June in a livestream event

Earlier, HONOR has held an event in China to launch the entry-level smartphone HONOR 9A that comes with a massive 5000mAh battery. If you've been expecting the device to arrive in Malaysia, this might finally be the time. Today, it has been found out that a YouTube livestream event has been scheduled by HONOR on 23 June, and the HONOR 9A will be launched globally as a part of the 'VIP Day launch event'.

To recap, the HONOR 9A houses a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset that has high-performance A-53 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. It also sports a large 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels. For the cameras, the device is blessed with a triple-camera setup at the back that comes with a 13MP f/1.8 main shooter, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, the 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera will be placed in a waterdrop notch.

Furthermore, the HONOR 9A will have a physical fingerprint sensor at the back accompanied by the rectangular camera module. The device also has a 3.5mm audio jack and a micro USB port for charging. For the price, it is expected to be at around 140 Euro (~RM675). Besides the HONOR 9A, the brand's first WiFi 6+ router is going to be launched on that day as well.
