HONOR X40 GT to launch on 13 October with Snapdragon 888

Not long ago, the news broke revealing that HONOR is preparing a new X40 device. The HONOR X40 GT was spotted on a Chinese social media platform and is expected to drop this month. Today, HONOR has announced that it will indeed launch on 13 October.

The event will go live at 7:30 pm on Weibo and other popular Chinese video streaming platforms that day. Some tech specs have also gotten confirmed, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and an average frame rate of 115.07 fps, 89.71 fps, and 56.33 fps for MOBA, regular mobile, and RPG game titles, respectively.

Besides that, official renders and leaked live images have also surfaced. The HONOR X40's design follows a futuristic concept by sporting a black carbon-like colour option with a green accent. It features the circular camera ring from the X40 series as well. Meanwhile, the front gets a centered punch-hole display, and tipster Digital Chat Station claims the screen will be LCD supporting at least a 120Hz refresh rate.
