Aside from Chinese New Year, another event that we are waiting is obviously MWC 2018 that will take place in Barcelona at the end of February 2018. There will be a ton of gadgets and technologies to look forward to, but unfortunately, HTC is not going to announce a new HTC U12 flagship there, according to an inside source.

However, to add on to that, the insider source also stated that HTC will do another event after MWC 2018. With this, we can assume that the rumoured HTC 12 is probably going to be revealed at that unknown period which could be in the first quarter or the early second quarter of 2018. Reason being why HTC is not going to show off their newest flagship is perhaps due to Samsung's announced event there, so obviously, the company won't want to clash with them.

As for rumoured specifications, the HTC U12 is said to look more or less the same as the U11+ which was recently released in Malaysia. That pretty much means that the body will still have that glass back, thinner bezels, as well as a possibility of going full-screen display at the front with 18:9 aspect ratio. We also expect the flagship to equip the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with 6GB of RAM, and of course, the Edge Sense feature and Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

Oh well, whatever the case may be. We will definitely keep an eye out for that. So until then, stay tuned for more HTC news at TechNave.com.
