The HUAWEI Mate 50 series could be around the corner, with quite some of its rumours popping up recently. Yesterday, we only saw the news saying that the upcoming devices might get powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G chip. Today, we received a new one claiming they will debut with BOE's new flexible display.

The display made by BOE adopts a diamond-like arrangement, LTPO technology, and supports 1 to 120Hz refresh rate adaptation. It should have the capabilities to rival the ProMotion display on Apple's iPhone 14 Pro series, which can also achieve a 1Hz refresh rate.

Besides that, the screen supports up to 2160PWM high-frequency dimming. The new substrate also reduces power consumption by 15% compared to the previous generation. Furthermore, it increases the service life by 10% and reduces harmful blue light below 6.0%. The display is said to have a curved notch solution and supports 3D face recognition with payment by face scanning.
