The HUAWEI Mate70 Series was launched in China today, comprising the Mate70, Mate70 Pro, Mate70 Pro+ and Mate 70 RS. This article will focus on the higher-end variants of the series, the Mate70 Pro+ and Mate70 RS.
Like the Mate70 and Mate70 Pro, HUAWEI didn’t expressly unveil the processor under the hood, though it’s believed to be the all-new in-house Kirin 9100 SoC. Battery-wise, both devices sport a massive 5700mAh battery which supports 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging.

Both devices are also made of a Titanium alloy, with the Mate70 RS going a step further into premium territory with better glass and display. Speaking of which, the Mate70 Pro+ has a 6.9-inch LTPO OLED with a 2832x1316 pixels resolution, 2500 nits peak brightness and a second-gen Kunlun Glass protection, while the Mate70 RS has the same size but with a dual-layer OLED with a 3500 nits peak brightness and a stronger “Basalt-tempered Kunlun Glass”.
Camera-wise, both have a 50MP main camera with a f/1.14-f/4.0 variable aperture paired with a 40MP ultra-wide and a 48MP telephoto, as well as a 13MP selfie shooter. Other notable specs include HarmonyOS 4.3, Baidu Satellite Connectivity, up to 16GB RAM, up to 1TB storage, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3D face scanner for biometric unlock.

In China, the Mate70 Pro+ is offered in Ink Black, Feather White, Gold and Silver Brocade and Flying Blue from CNY8499 or ~RM5230, while the Mate70 RS is offered in Red, White and Black from CNY11999 or ~RM7384. Stay tuned to TechNave for the latest coverage on tech releases such as this!
