HUAWEI Nova 12 Ultra release - Kirin 9000SL SoC, 120Hz OLED & 100W charging from ~RM3044

As we’ve alluded to previously, HUAWEI today launched the HUAWEI Nova 12 series in China which comprises the Nova 12 Lite, Nova 12, Nova 12 Pro and Nova 12 Ultra. This article will be focusing on the highest-end variant, the Nova 12 Ultra, so read on to find out more about the exciting device. 

First up, the Nova 12 Ultra is powered by the Kirin 9000SL SoC paired with 12GB RAM and either 512GB or 1TB of storage. There’s also a 4600mAh battery with support for 100W charging via the USB-C port.

Meanwhile, the display is a 6.76-inch 120Hz OLED with an FHD+ resolution protected by the “unbreakable” Kunlun glass and sports a pill-shaped camera cutout which houses the 60MP main + 8MP portrait dual-camera setup. At the rear, there’s a 50MP main camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide and a macro sensor. 

Other notable specs include 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.2, in-display fingerprint scanner, dual SIM, face unlock, HarmonyOS 4, satellite communications and colour options of either Black, Blue or Grey. In China, the Nova 12 Ultra is priced at CNY4699 or ~RM3044 for the 12/512GB variant and CNY5499 or ~RM3563 for the 12GB/1TB configuration.
