HUAWEI has released the highly anticipated HUAWEI Pura 80 Series in China, which includes 4 variants, namely the Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, Pura 80 Pro+ and Pura 80 Ultra. This article will focus on the HUAWEI Pura 80 Ultra, so read on to learn more.
5700mAh battery, 100W wired charging, 80W wireless charging and more

Under the hood, the processor powering the device was not revealed, and is likely an in-house SoC like other flagship devices from the company. It is offered with 16GB RAM and either 512GB/1TB storage.
Battery-wise, it’s a 5700mAh cell, which supports 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging. Meanwhile, the display is a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED (1-120Hz) with an FHD+ resolution, 3000 nits local peak brightness and a second-gen Kunlun glass.
Switchable telephoto lenses with an intricate moving mechanism

The Pura Series is known for its camera capabilities, and the Pura 80 Ultra definitely shines in that department. The main camera is a 50MP shooter with a 1-inch RYYB sensor with a variable f/1.6 - f/4.0 aperture and OIS.
The main camera is also rated at 16EV dynamic range, the most on a smartphone. It is paired with a 40MP ultra-wide, a 1.5MP multi-spectral colour sensor and switchable telephoto lens.
There is an intricate moving mechanism that shifts between the 2 telephoto lenses, which gives you 3.7x and 9.4x optical zoom with sensor-shift OIS. The sensor for these switchable lenses is a massive 1/128-inch periscope telephoto.
Other notable specs of the Pura 80 Ultra include HarmonyOS 5.1, an IP68/69 rating and colour options of either Black or Gold. In China, the smartphone starts at CNY9999 or ~RM5896, with global availability yet to be announced.
