Earlier, it was reported that HUAWEI will be rolling out the stable version of its in-house operating system HarmonyOS in April after multiple beta tests being conducted in its home country. However, it looks like we'll have to wait for two more months as the president of HUAWEI Consumer Business Software Dr. Wang Chenglu stated that the OS will only be launched in June.

At the TEDx keynote hosted by HUAWEI president of Consumer Business Group in Shenzhen, China, Wang confirmed that many devices will be able to switch to the Harmony OS 2.0 by June 2021. The executive also expects that 300 million devices including smartphones, tablets, and IoT devices to have the OS by the end of this year.

After that, a report has come along with a tipster claiming that the HUAWEI P50 series will be delayed to June as well. It is said that the company wants the next-gen flagship devices to be the pioneers of the OS. Besides the P50, the MatePad Pro 2 is also expected to be launched in the same time frame.
