After parting ways with TSMC, HUAWEI has secured a big stock of Dimensity chipsets from MediaTek, as discovered from the chip manufacturer's quarterly results. Now, it is reported that HUAWEI might soon announce a bunch of smartphones that come with MediaTek's chipsets.

Earlier in August, the news has come saying that MediaTek applied for the license to work with HUAWEI despite the U.S. ban. It is surprising to find out that both of the companies are this quick to start their latest projects after the news broke, or might have even finished.

According to the quarterly results, MediaTek has its revenue and net profit both up year-over-year for almost 45% and 94% respectively. The chip manufacturer claims that it's because the Dimensity chipsets are getting a good chunk of the market share as 5G is emerging. With that said, we can't wait to see new HUAWEI 5G devices with the manufacturer's chipsets to enter the market soon!
