HarmonyOS Super Terminal feature helps connect all nearby Huawei devices

If you're interested in HarmonyOS, you've probably been keeping up with its recent news. Huawei's operating system is set to launch later this month, but developers have already gotten a taste for it and have been revealing what it has.

According to a Chinese blogger, a Super Terminal feature was found in HarmonyOS Beta 3.0. The feature is supposed to allow the device to automatically connect all other Huawei devices that are nearby, as long as they have HarmonyOS. This should enable sharing of content between Huawei phones, laptops, tablets, and more.

It's believed that the upcoming Huawei P50 series would be the first to feature HarmonyOS. Huawei hasn't confirmed whether this would be exclusive to units sold in China. However, it's rumoured that other smartphone brands from China may adopt the OS, at least for the Chinese market. Allegedly, a Huawei staff member has claimed that Meizu would at least be providing support for users who are using Huawei Mobile Services.

Of course, HarmonyOS is still far from on par with Android OS. But I won't be surprised if Huawei catches up in another year or two. If that happens, would you consider switching to HarmonyOS? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
