Do you dislike seeing political content when you surf Instagram and Threads? Well, I assume most of us do and here's some good news - Meta has finally enabled options to recommend less political content on your feed, especially from accounts that you don't follow at all.

To enable that, go into Settings and Privacy > Suggest Content > and tap on Political Content. From there, you can choose to either limit or not limit the amount of political content from people you don't follow. Update your Instagram and Threads too in the Apple App or Google Play Store while you're at it.

You can't find that function on Threads but by limiting political content on your Instagram, it should have some effect on Threads as well. When Threads first launched, Instagram's CEO Adam Mosseri said the platform doesn't need to get into politics & hard news. Meta continued its stance after several months and in early February, Mosseri emphasized preserving "the ability for people to choose to interact with political content while respecting each person’s appetite for it".
