Honor is having a busy Q4 2025 so far, with a total of five devices launched or on the way. Not only do we have the Honor Magic8 and Honor Magic8 Pro in mid-October, but the Honor Magic8 Ultra and Honor GT 2 series could also be coming soon.
Chipset confirmed
According to Digital Chat Station, the Honor GT 2 and Honor GT 2 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Both phones are expected to have a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, metallic mid-frame, and a 50MP main camera. The two phones could also feature a massive 8000mAh battery.
Currently, most larger phones have silicon-carbon batteries with capacities of 7000 to 7600mAh. With that in mind, a phone with an 8000mAh battery would have a noticeable advantage in endurance. Of course, the phone could feature some compromises to accommodate the larger battery. We're expecting a slightly thicker phone, but not to a significant degree.
Possible launch window
The Honor GT launched in December 2024, followed by the Honor GT Pro in April 2025. If Honor sticks to the same launch window, the Honor GT 2 should launch in December 2025. Note that these phones were never released in Malaysia, so expect the same for Honor GT 2 series.
