Reports of the Honor Magic8 series may have started popping up in May, but it seems the actual launch isn't happening yet. There have been several leaks since then, with the latest news confirming the launch window.
Mid-October 2025 launch
According to a Chinese tipster, the Honor Magic8 series will launch around mid-October 2025. For reference, the Honor Magic7 series launched on 30 October 2024, so the launch timing fits. Moreover, a previous report suggested that the Honor Magic8 series will have four models instead of three. They're the Magic8, Magic8 Pro, Magic8 Ultra, and Magic8 Mini. However, the Mini and Ultra models will only be available in 2026.
Recap on some specs and features
As for the specs, the Magic8 series smartphones will sport different chipsets. The Mini is expected to sport the Dimensity 9500 chipset and a 6.3-inch display. It would also feature a relatively thin and compact body (since it's a 'Mini'). The Magic8 and Magic8 Pro will both have a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chipset, but will have different displays (6.58-inch vs 6.7-inch). Specs for the Magic8 Ultra were not confirmed, but it's also likely to have the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2.
Besides that, the Honor Magic8 series smartphones will all allegedly come with larger batteries. They will also sport a periscope camera, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and support wireless charging.
