Honor wants to launch more IoT-capable devices

Now that Honor is independent of Huawei, it's not surprising that its product direction may change. But at the Honor 7th Anniversary Fan Roundtable, Honor revealed that it aims to launch pretty more of the same type of products it always has.

According to Changan Digital, Honor CEO Zhao Ming said that the company will continue to launch products like laptops, tablets, smart displays, routers, headphones, and more. What's interesting is that the term "full-scenario IoT" was used here when describing the products. This indicates that Honor wants to be able to link these products together, like what Huawei does with its Huawei Share and OneTap feature.

Besides that, the company pledges to be more attentive to "consumer experience". That's as vague as a PR statement you can get, but one way of interpreting that is that we can expect the software for Honor products to be better. As you probably know by now, Honor's independence means that it will regain access to Google Mobile Services and Google Play Services.

We haven't been hearing much from Honor lately, aside from the upcoming Honor V40 series smartphones. But we'll probably hear more once they get things together. Until then, stay tuned to TechNave.com for more updates like this.
