The Huawei Honor 6 smartphone
Right on time, Huawei Malaysia have launched their Huawei Honor 6 smartphone in Malaysia for RM999. Featuring Huawei's own octa-core Hi-Silicon Kirin 920 processor and other high-end tech specs like 3GB of RAM, a 5-inch full HD 1080p resolution display, 4G LTE Cat6, a 13MP rear camera with Sony IMX214 sensor and an aluminum metal casing, it should be available on 17 October 2014 at VMALL.my and Lelong.com. For now, you can still prebook it from 29 Spetember 2014 to 14 October 2014. We managed to get a little hands-on time with it and it certainly looks and feels a lot more premium than the price tag would suggest.

The Huawei Honor 6 and Honor Tablet with models
Measuring in at 139.8 x 68.8 x 7.5mm the aluminum metal casing is backed by multi-layer glass backside much like the Huawei Ascend P7. However, unlike the Ascend P7 there is no unique looking bottom, instead the bottom half is rounded at the corners making it look a lot like an Apple iPhone 5S with no metal frame. It comes with a metal frame on the sides and top much like the Ascend P6 and Ascend P7. Stay tuned for an unboxing and hands-on video later along with a full review here at TechNave.com.
Revealed along with the Honor 6 smartphone, the Huawei Honor Tablet is an 8-inch tablet that looks like a Samsung Galaxy Tab from the front and a MediaPad X1 from the back. This means that the front features rounded corners with white bezels while the back is a metal chassis with plastic top and bottom. Designed with telephony features the tablet has built-in 3G connectivity and can be used as a smartphone as well as a tablet. Other tech specs for the Honor Tablet include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 8-inch display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, 4800 mAh battery and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The Honor Tablet will be available for pre-order from 29 September 2014 with eventual stock coming in at the VMALL.my site.
