In a bid to transition into a self-contained ecosystem, one of the platforms Huawei has been working on is a search engine. Originally called Huawei Search, the platform went into beta back in March 2020 but is now officially available in Malaysia and has been renamed to Petal Search.

Using Petal Search, you'll be able to find apps that have not been added to the AppGallery. The search engine will direct you to third-party app stores where you can then download the program. Besides that, Petal Search has a variety of other features, such as recommending you different apps, providing you weather forecasts, listing down the scores of sports games, and more.

Of course, you'll need a Huawei ID to get access to some of the features made available through Petal Search. Your device must also be running on EMUI version 10.1.0.131 to be able to download the app. For those of you who have already downloaded and tried it, what are your thoughts on Petal Search so far?
