It has been more than a month since the Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Ultra were released in Malaysia. Today, the standard Pura 80 officially launches in Malaysia as the latest addition to the Pura series, and is priced at RM3299.

At the heart of the Pura 80 experience lies the Ultra Chroma XMAGE Camera system, powered by 1.5 million spectral channels and XD Fusion Pro Technology. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP Ultra Lighting Camera with variable aperture and optical image stabilisation, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP periscope telephoto lens offering 5.5x optical and 50x digital zoom. On the front, a 13 MP ultra-wide selfie camera ensures crisp, vibrant group shots.
Under the hood, the Pura 80 packs a 5170mAh battery supported by 66W wired and 50W wireless HUAWEI SuperCharge. The 6.6-inch LTPO OLED display delivers a 460ppi resolution, a dynamic 1–120 Hz refresh rate, and HDR support for vivid visuals across any scenario, reinforced by Kunlun Glass. It also runs on the Kirin 9010S chipset, EMUI 15.0 OS, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
On top of that, the Pura 80 also features AI-powered tools. AI Removal lets users erase unwanted objects from photos with ease, while AI Best Expression intelligently selects the perfect smile in group shots. AI Gesture Control enables hands-free scrolling and screenshotting, keeping the device clean and convenient. AI Messaging ensures privacy by showing message previews only to the owner, and the AI Smart Controls Button offers quick access to favourite functions with fingerprint-secured shortcuts.
Design Features
The Pura 80 is available in Frosted Gold, Frosted White, and Frosted Black, combining sleek flat-edge contours with a frosted matte glass back. Its standout Forward Symbol Design, accented by a subtle lens ring, adds a bold visual signature to the phone’s rear. Built with second-generation Kunlun Glass—20 times tougher than standard screens—the Pura 80 offers durability without compromising its premium look.
