As reported, the Huawei Pura 80 series is launching on 11 June 2025. The company's next flagship is launching earlier than previous years, but that doesn't mean it won't have some notable improvements. In fact, some camera details have been confirmed in a teaser.
In a Weibo teaser, we can see that the Huawei Pura 80 series will offer excellent optical zoom. Its 2x optical zoom is equivalent to a 48mm focal length, while the maximum optical zoom of 3.7x is 89mm. This is a slight upgrade from the Pura 70 series's 3.5x max optical zoom. The Pura 80 series also offers 10x (240mm) and 20x zoom hybrid zoom.
Based on experience, the Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Ultra are the most likely to feature advanced camera features. Sources say both will have a 1-inch main camera sensor with an RYYB colour filter, a 1/1.3-inch 50MP periscope camera instead of a telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
