The Huawei P50 series made its debut in China at the end of July 2021, with a curious combination of the Kirin 9000 and Snapdragon 888 chipset. Some people must have wondered when Huawei would release the phones globally. Well, the answer could be "very soon".

According to PhoneArena, Huawei has been sending out invites to a launch event that is to be held on 21 October 2021 in Vienna. The teaser image clearly shows that this is a smartphone, though there's no confirmation on the exact model yet. However, it's believed that this is the global launch for the P50 series. In fact, the possibility is quite high since it would be close to 3 months after the launch in China.

As a reminder, there are two models in the P50 series - the Huawei P50 and Huawei P50 Pro. For the global launch, we expect both models to feature the Snapdragon 888 4G chipset. The standard model will also have 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, while the Pro model will have up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. In addition, both will come with a 50MP main camera, OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and more.

If the above is true, Huawei Malaysia should also announce the official price and availability for the P50 series here. Until then, stay tuned to TechNave for more updates about it!
