Huawei introduced their 55W SuperCharge technology over at MWC 2019. It claims that it can charge a device from 0% to 85% in just 30 minutes. However, let’s not get too excited because this features will only be available on the Huawei Mate X only for the time being.

This technology was made possible due to the fact that the Mate X has 2 batteries in the device, making it faster to charge as it charges two batteries simultaneously. Obviously, this technology isn’t possible on your normal smartphone as most smartphones come with only a single battery cell. So far, normal smartphones in Huawei’s range utilizes their 40W fast charging.

The Huawei Mate X is Huawei’s first foldable smartphone, powered by the Balong 5000 and Kirin 980. Tech specs wise, we can see 8GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage. You’ll find a quad camera setup on this device with 40MP (wide) + 16MP (ultra-wide) + 8MP (telephoto) and ToF sensors.

At least it's good that we’ll be getting the 55W SuperCharge technology on this device as the device will retail for a whopping USD$2600 (~RM10625)! I for one can’t wait for the day this technology will be available to other devices. For the latest Huawei news, TechNave.com is where you should be looking at!
