As previously reported, there was a speculation about the honor 8 releasing on 5 July 2016. There was also just one teaser, which didn't really say much except "Beauty Out of the Ordinary", however that can be cleared up now since Huawei Honor’s President of Business, Zhao George revealed the official launch date which is 11 July 2016 on a new teaser. The launching is scheduled at 6.30pm at Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in China.

Furthermore, we also know that the device will have dual rear cameras as hinted in the teaser. Whether it will use Leica cameras remain to be seen, although it's not very likely. Other than that, it's rumoured to sport a Kirin 950 octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, 5.2-inches with 1080p resolution, Android 6.0 inside, 2900mAh battery, NFC and a fingerprint sensor located at the back. You can take a look at the rest of the tech-specs and images here

Meanwhile, Huawei has also started sending out invites for the 1 September event. Rumours have it that it could be a new Huawei Mate 9 but that proved to be false as Bruce Lee, Huawei Mobile Product line manager posted that Mate 9 won't be released that early because Mate 8 was only revealed last December.

That's all from Huawei (and Honor) today, stay tuned for more news at Technave.com
