Huawei may be working on their first pop up camera smartphone, the Huawei P Smart Z

Infinite displays are most definitely a thing in 2019 and the most popular way to utilize this is via pop up selfie camera. Some leaked renders of what seems to be Huawei's first ever pop up selfie smartphone surfaced today, showing that the pop up camera trend won’t be stopping any time soon. Among smartphones utilizing the pop up selfie mechaninsm includes the vivo V15 Pro and the OPPO F11 Pro.

The device is dubbed as the Huawei P Smart Z and is their mid range smartphone. This device may be released with a whopping 6.59 inch display with extremely thin bezels, giving its user an almost infinite display. In terms of camera, you’ll find a 16MP selfie camera housed in the pop up and the back features a dual rear camera setup with 16MP + 2MP (depth) sensors. Design-wise, we can expect a two toned back with what seems like a textured top and perhaps a glossy bottom?

As for its tech specs, this device may be released with the Kirin 710 chipset, 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage (expandable up to 512GB via microSD card), a 3.5mm headphone jack and an impressive 4000mAh battery capacity. From the renders, we can see a rear mounted fingerprint scanner. 

This device may be announced next month in 3 colours: Midnight Black, Emerald Green and Sapphire Blue. No official pricing or release date has been set so far but it is speculated that the device may be priced at 210 Euros (~RM970) which is pretty decent.
