Carlson Leong, Retail Director of Consumer Business Group Huawei Malaysia was the host of the official opening, stated that the opening of the store is part of Huawei Malaysia’s plan to strengthen its position in Malaysia.

“This resonates with our core spirit of putting the customers first before others,” said Carlson, “Huawei has entered the Malaysian smartphone market as an unknown brand six years ago and I am very proud to say that we have grown at a very rapid rate, thanks to the support from our consumers."

This new outlet, standing at 2160 square feet, is the largest Huawei outlet in Johor. The opening of Huawei’s first dual-purpose store in Johor is Huawei’s effort in offering its current and new consumers convenience for access to its services, as well as the best quality in its products. According to GFK reports, Huawei has successfully become the second largest smartphone brand in Malaysia with 9.6% market share in June. Its latest flagship, the P9 series, which arrived in the Malaysian market in July this year, has recorded a stellar performance with 100000 units sold in a mere four months’ period.

This also marks Huawei in being one step closer to achieve its goal of establishing 200 brand stores in Malaysia by the end of 2016. Currently, Huawei Malaysia has established more than 138 Huawei branded stores and 11 service centers within the nation.
