Typically, Huawei would release its flagship every third quarter of the year. However, the next Pura 80 series launch was announced earlier than expected, which will debut on 11 June 2025.
The announcement was made on Huawei's official Weibo account, and the Pura 80 series is expected to feature a couple of upgrades over its predecessor, the Pura 70 series. According to sources, anticipated enhancements include advanced display technology, improved fingerprint recognition, and a powerful camera system.

Rumoured tech specs
Additionally, the Ultra model is rumoured to introduce a 1-inch main camera sensor to enhance low-light photography and image quality. In terms of design, the Pura 80 series is set to offer a 6.6-inch flat screen for the standard version and a larger 6.78-inch curved screen for the Pro and Ultra models, both with 1.5K resolution and 8T LTPO technology.
Huawei's proprietary operating system, HarmonyOS, will power the Pura 80 series. For the uninitiated, the OS is designed for seamless connectivity across Huawei devices, including smartphones, tablets, and smart car systems. Security features are also being enhanced, with the inclusion of a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for quicker and easier unlocking.
Launch date and time
The Huawei Pura 80 series will be unveiled on 11 June at 2.30 PM in China. We expect other All-Scenario products to launch alongside the flagship as well. Until then, stay tuned for our official news coverage at TechNave.com.
