Image of first Meta smartwatch leaked, shows display notch

If there's one design concept that many dislike, it would have to be the notch on displays. While some companies do it regardless, the last thing we expected to see it on a smartwatch. However, Facebook (or Meta) seems to have no problems with it.

According to Bloomberg (via The Verge), an image of the Meta smartwatch was found within an app for the Facebook Ray-Ban smart glasses. Dubbed the 'Milan', this Meta smartwatch has a rather large display on a metal frame. What's interesting is that it has a notch at the bottom, which is meant for a front-facing camera.

This isn't the first time we've received news that the company was working on a smartwatch. Back in June, it was rumoured that Meta was working on a smartwatch with cameras. The front-facing camera will allegedly be used for video calls, which also suggests that the device will support eSIM. Interestingly, one of the cameras is supposed to be detachable.

The leaked image looks rather legit, so it's probably accurate. But honestly, I don't know what to think about a notch on a smartwatch. How about you? Share your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates about this.
