Is the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro launching soon in Malaysia?

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro, a mid-range smartphone that was initially launched in China during October last year, and had remained exclusively available in China, but, it looks like that’s about to change soon. With the device being made open for pre-booking earlier this month in India, it looks like it’ll also be launching soon in Malaysia too!

While there had not been any official word on it yet, the Galaxy C9 Pro was found registered to Samsung Malaysia on the SIRM database with the model number SM-C900F/DS. Although the product page is not yet live, there seems to already be a support page for the C9 Pro on Samsung Malaysia’s website.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is a promising and well-equipped mid-range smartphone. It’s specifications include:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC
  • 6GB RAM with 64GB of expandable internal storage
  • 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display
  • 16MP (f/1.9) main camera with phase-detection autofocus / 16MP front camera
  • Fingerprint sensor, dual speakers
  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow
  • 4000mAh battery

While we have yet to hear from Samsung Malaysia in regards of any local launching for the Galaxy C9 Pro, are they preparing for the launch of the smartphone soon? How much will it retail? Well, as an estimate, with the retail price being 3199 Yuan (about RM2075) in China, and 36,999 Rupee (about RM2455) in India, let’s just hope the Malaysian pricing is closer to the price in China.
