JBL always gets creative by bringing innovative solutions for its audio gadgets. Previously, the brand launched the world's first pair of transformative earbuds, and we totally like the idea. A few days ago, it presented another unique earbuds idea, which charging case gets a touchscreen on the side.

The JBL Tour Pro 2 is a pair of high-end true wireless earbuds, offering features including active noise cancelling (ANC), switch to ambient mode, and even swapping between different EQ settings. In addition to a custom EQ, you can use the company's improved Personi-Fi test to tune the buds to match your hearing, including compensating for any hearing loss.

However, the most interesting part of the earbuds would be the 1.45-inch LED touchscreen embedded in the charging case. One of the reasons that the company did that is most people don't interact with the options much beyond the initial setup, as it could be troublesome to open the app sometimes. Therefore, with customisable controls on the case, users can decide which settings they need quick access to without picking up the phone. Other than that, some might still want to use the features when connected to a PC, and the JBL Tour Pro 2 still provides full control of your ANC and other options when users are not using it on their smartphones.

Although it sounds good to have a touchscreen on the charging case, there's a restriction on this one. JBL mentions that there's no way for users to use their own wallpapers on the touchscreen for now. Nevertheless, users could still change it using a selection of JBL-approved wallpapers. JBL blames this on problems with scaling for the low resolution of the screen, but look at the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip's cover screen!
