JPJ announces special RM150 flat rate for traffic fines starting tomorrow, including via MyJPJ app

Earlier today, we reported that the MyJPJ app is now allowing users to pay their traffic summonses through the app. Well, Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook also made several other announcements, including a special flat-rate compound fee of RM150 for traffic offences, so read on to learn more. 

In a statement, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) said that the special RM150 compound rate will be available for over 6 months starting tomorrow. Specifically, the special rate will be available from 3 January until 30 June 2025.

Moreover, Bernama quoted Loke as saying that the special RM150 compound flat rate will be applicable for 3 types of summons notices. They are Summons 53A (AwAS Summons) for speeding violations or running red lights captured by the AwAS camera system, Notice 114 (Interview Notice) and Notice 115 (Sticker Summons Notice by JPJ); all of which are usually RM300 compounds. 

Payments for this special offer can be made through the MyJPJ app, public portals, as well as JPJ counters and kiosks. Do note that they can’t be made via MyEG or Pos Malaysia.
