The Ministry of Communications and Digital (KKD) has revealed that the full details of the Pakej Perpaduan broadband plan will be announced on 29 March 2023. Its Minister, Fahmi Fadzil asserted the matter during a press conference in Parliament today.

The broadband version of the Pakej Perpaduan mobile internet plan that was released last month, KKD previously revealed that the upcoming plan would entail a 30Mbps speed cap. Furthermore, the plan would be priced at RM69 per month.

As of the time of writing, the above is the only information available regarding the Pakej Perpaduan broadband plan. However, should it retain the requirements of its mobile internet plan namesake, the broadband plan may be set to benefit Malaysians from the B40 group, youths below 30 years old, senior citizens, veterans of uniformed bodies and persons with disabilities.

Given that it’s a broadband plan, it may also be restricted to certain areas and would not be as widespread as the Pakej Perpaduan mobile internet plan. Of course, these are all mere speculations, as we just have to wait until this 29 March to know for sure.
