Previously, we shared how the Microsoft Windows ‘Crowdstrike’ is causing global system outages worldwide, including at major airports and airlines such as KLIA and AirAsia. Well, the outage also affected our rail system, as KTMB has announced service disruptions too. 

Taking to Facebook, KTMB announced that its Integrated Ticketing System (KITS) and all customer service channels have been facing technical disruptions since around 2.30pm today. The company apologised for any inconvenience caused and stressed that it was working actively to restore the system.

Thankfully, the issue has since been resolved at around 5.20pm today. Prior to that, KTMB urged KTMB Mobile app users to restart their devices in order to access the KTMB KITS.
