Some companies like Sony may have pulled out of PAX East due to coronavirus fears, but many game developers still turned up to showcase new works. One of them is Larian Studios, the team behind the Divinity: Original Sin series. At this year's PAX East, Larian Studios was there to showcase some gameplay for long-anticipated Baldur's Gate 3.
Larian Studios will be launching the game on Steam Early Access in a few months' time. Baldur's Gate will let you pick either one of five pre-set origin characters, or create your own customised one. For character races, you have a choice of Drow, Dwarf, Elf, Githyanki, Half-Drow, Half-Elf, Halfling, Human, and Tiefling. Classes available now include Cleric, Fighter, Ranger, Rogue, Warlock, and Wizard. More classes and races are expected to be added later on.
Like the previous, Baldur's Gate games, Baldur's Gate 3 will use the same semi-turn based system that can be paused. The only difference now is that it's going to be based on Dungeons & Dragons version 5E rules. There's a lot to cover, so if you're interested in the game then do check out the demo above.
So, is there anyone here who has played the previous Baldur's Gate titles? And has the demo made you excited for the new one? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news like this.
