If you're a OnePlus fan looking to get a tablet, you may or may not have to wait for the upcoming OnePlus Pad 2. The company's next tablet is scheduled for launch on 16 July 2024. But sources confirm the new one won't offer a significant enough advantage over its predecessor.
Thanks to @ishanagarwal24, we now have some specs for the global variant of the OnePlus Pad 2. The tablet is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It will also be available in two configurations, one with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The second variant has 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. Essentially, this is the rebranded OnePlus Pad Pro launched in China last month.
A new flagship Android tablet is coming to India.

That means we can refer to the details from that launch. First, we can confirm the display is a 12.1-inch and 3000x2120 resolution LCD. It also retains the 144Hz refresh rate and a noticeably higher peak brightness of 900 nits (from 500 nits). On top of that, the OnePlus Pad 2 features a 6-speaker setup, an upgrade from its predecessor's 4-speaker setup. As for the battery and cameras, the new model has the same 9510mAh battery, 67 SuperVOOC charging, 13MP rear camera, and 8MP front camera.
Honestly, the only upgrade we'd consider significant is the chipset. But if you want a OnePlus tablet and didn't get the OnePlus Pad, the OnePlus Pad 2 could be a good option. Let us know what you think in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates like this.
