Leaks of the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 from TechRadar indicate that there will be 2 variants with different processors and one of them may be packing in the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, which is the first time we'll be seeing this midrange processor for the entry-level Redmi series. In addition, it may also have a 16MP+5MP dual rear camera with a 12MP front camera.

Other tech specs include 3GB / 4GB RAM, 32GB / 64GB storage, a 5.5-inch FHD display, fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE, dual SIM support and 4000 mAh battery. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet but it is expected to be 999 CNY (~RM633) for the 3GB RAM version and 1299 CNY (~RM823) for the 4GB RAM version.

If we follow the Redmi Note 4 we'll probably get the 4GB RAM Pro version from the official Mi Malaysia while the cheaper 3GB RAM version may come from third-party sellers like SatuGadget or DirectD or marketplaces like Lazada or Shopee.
