Recently we covered tech specs and benchmarks done by the Intel Atom powered Lenovo K900 and now it has just been announced that it will be released to the Chinese market on May 6. While there isn't any info yet on other markets, a number of Lenovo IdeaBrand smartphones have already made their way to Malaysia, making the Lenovo K900's arrival here on Malaysian shores seem almost guaranteed. If not done officially, we can probably rely on some of our local retailers to pick it up as well.

Initial pics of the Lenovo K900 revealed an aluminum chassis and now we get to take a closer look at this 5.5-inch screen smartphone. While we were hoping for another aluminum unibody (like the HTC One) it turns out that it will have a mixed stainless steel and polycarbonate chassis. Other tech specs confirmed include the aforementioned Intel Clover Trail Atom processor, 5.5-inch screen and the fact that the screen supports IPS 1080p. It may also be one of the slimmer smartphones out there with it's 6.9mm thin chassis. Pricing has yet to be confirmed but for those who can read Chinese, go check out the full details here.
