This week, Lenovo has announced the Malaysian launch of its newest Legion Series gaming laptops. The latest lineup includes the Lenovo Legion 5i (15", 10), Legion 5 (15", 10), and the Intel-based Legion Pro 7i (16”, 10) and Legion Pro 5i (16”, 10). Below are more details you should know.
Starting with the standard Legion 5i and Legion 5 laptops, these laptops are up to 13% thinner and lighter than the previous generation, powered by up to Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and up to AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processors, respectively. Both models also support up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPUs, and each variant features a 15.3-inch 16:10 WQXGA OLED PureSight display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 colour accuracy.
Next, the Legion Pro 7i (16”, 10) and Legion Pro 5i (16”, 10) have Lenovo AI Engine+ that features Scenario Detection in Performance Mode and Balance Mode that dynamically adjusts CPU and GPU wattage. Both laptops are powered by Intel Core Ultra processors (HX-SKUs) and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. Not only that, the laptops share a 16-inch PureSight WQXGA 16:10 OLED display with up to 240Hz refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness and <0.5ms low-latency response time
In terms of pricing and availability, below are the details for each model for your reference:
- Lenovo Legion 5i (15", 10) will be available in Malaysia starting June 2025, with prices from RM6,499.
- Lenovo Legion 5 (15", 10) is expected to launch in June/July 2025, starting at RM5,599.
- Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (16”, 10) is available now with a starting price of RM15,999.
- Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (16”, 10) is available now with a starting price of RM7,499.
