Back in August, there was a rumour about a possible Legion Go lite variant but Lenovo debunked it. Months have passed since then and we just got new leaks about the lite variant again.
According to sources, there was a firmware leak and the media news outlet got some alleged official renders. Dubbed the Lenovo Legion Go S, this new budget-friendly PC gaming handheld console is expected to feature a new AMD Ryzen Z2 platform. As a lesser variant to the existing Legion Go, it seems to have dropped a couple of features such as the detachable controllers, the large kickstand and the extra rear buttons.
The rendered images show the Legion Go S in white so it looks similar to the ROG Ally. The top compartments are all in black, though. Additionally, the double USB C ports are still there on the top and the joysticks retain the RBG lighting. Also, the rear vents are designed in a honeycomb style.
Sources say that the recommended retail price could be between $499 and $599 (~RM2.2K - ~RM2.7K). For reference, the Legion Go in Malaysia is RM3,999. Anyway, if the leaks are true, then the alleged Legion Go S could show up at CES 2025 early next year.
