On Thursday, Lenovo launched its latest gaming phone in China. But the Lenovo Legion Y70 wasn't the only device that was introduced. The company also unveiled new TWS earphones, a new office/gaming chair, and a new tablet - the Lenovo Pad Pro 2022.

At a glance, it might feel like the Lenovo Pad Pro 2022 isn't much of an upgrade. After all, it still comes with the Snapdragon 870 chipset. But this time, Lenovo has prepared a version with the Dimensity 1300T chipset. The company did improve the OLED screen, which features a few upgrades - a refresh rate of 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of 360Hz, and HDR10+ support. There's also a keyboard that supports Windows-like commands, such as Alt+Tab, Ctrl+C, and Ctrl+V.

Honestly, you can consider the Lenovo Pad Pro 2022 more of a variant of last year's model. A few components were actually downgraded, possibly to reduce cost. For instance, there's now only one 13MP camera at the back and an 8MP front camera. The battery is also smaller at 8200mAh, albeit with support for a slightly faster 68W charging (30W for the Dimensity 1300T version). Lenovo fans also get more options in terms of colours, which include purple and vegan leather. You can find out more from Lenovo's Weibo post.

The Dimensity 1300T variant costs 2199 yuan (~RM1444) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage while upgrading to 8GB RAM bumps the price up to 2499 yuan (~RM1641). Could these more affordable prices convince Lenovo Malaysia to launch it here? We can't confirm that at the moment, but we'll definitely keep an eye out for updates. Until then, stay tuned to TechNave for more news on the latest tablets and smartphones.
