MCMC says 5G technology is not a health hazard

While it's a known fact that we are surrounded by various radioactive wavelengths, Professor Dr. Tharek Abd Rahman, a member of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), would like to remind people that there's no need to worry about 5G technology affecting our health and well being as there are no conclusive research results that it's harmful.

As far as he is concerned, he said that exposure to Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Field (RF-EMF) field has not gone over the recommended limitations in the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP). This was also backed up by 25,000 research articles over the last 30 years by the World Health Organization (WHO), which did not see any correlation of health impacts to low-scale EMFs. In fact, exposure to non-ionizing radiation (which the EMF is classified) only results in warming effects, but not strong enough to cause any long-term damage.

On top of that, Prof. Dr. Tharek insisted that the public need to be educated and be aware of what 5G technology can do. We did write an article about the benefits so you can check it out right here. You can find more information on EMF developed by MCMC with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), as well as visiting rfemf.mcmc.gov.my.
