If you're a big fan of Xiaomi, you would know that the company works a lot with MIJIA on producing other kinds of products such as the Mijia Electric Scooter. Well, just recently, MIJIA will no longer be referred to this name anymore as they will be renamed to Xiaomi Smart Life. This was confirmed on their official Weibo channel.
Despite the name change for the global market, the MIJIA logo will still be retained as it's still a recognizable image around the world. In fact, Xiaomi will still use the same logo for future smart life products while under the new Xiaomi Smart Life brand name, which applies to both Xiaomi and Redmi products. By the way, MIJIA is a combination of Mi + 家 (Jia) which is Xiaomi Home.
MIJIA first started out back in 2016 and focused mainly on producing smart home products with Xiaomi. The MIJIA Rice Cooker was the first product ever released and since then, they continued making more unexpected products which we recently just published over the weekend.
