Previously, we shared how the Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz will facilitate a meeting between Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. However, MITI has since announced that the meeting has been rescheduled to a later date.

According to Bernama, MITI shared that the meeting announced yesterday was rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances. This is because Satya had to cancel his visit to Malaysia and other countries in Southeast Asia.

The matter was confirmed by a MITI spokesperson, though the exact date of the rescheduled meeting was not revealed. The new date will only be announced when it is confirmed.

The Microsoft CEO was slated to visit Malaysia on 20 March to deliver the opening keynote of the Microsoft Build: AI Day KL but the visit has since been postponed indefinitely. Satya was also set to deliver speeches at the corresponding events in Bangkok and Jakarta before cancelling.
