Main differences between the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus

Before we get into details, the only differences between the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are the Screen Size, Battery Capacity and Dual Camera that is only available on the S9 Plus. Just like the Galaxy Note 8, the S9 Plus secondary camera is a 12MP telephoto AF Sensor with OIS (F/2.4) optics.

Next Level Smartphone Camera

The Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus gets a new Super Speed 12MP camera that includes Dual Aperture (F/1.5 to F/2.4) optic while still utilizing a Dual Pixel camera sensor with OIS. The Dual Aperture will adjust its' F-stop based on lighting condition, F/2.4 for daylight and F/1.5 for lowlight.

You can also adjust the F-number manually but only when we're in Pro mode, otherwise it will be automatically adjusted. With the new Image Proccessor improved up to 4 times the speed, the device is able to proccess multi-frame in one shot to help reduce noise. Picture quality still looks clean and sharp even with just 1 LUX of light source.

You can also now capture beautiful 960 FPS Slow Mo, while Auto Motion Detect helps to detect motion and starts recording so we won't miss the moment as well. The Slow Motion video can be used as a wallpaper or shared with friends as a GIF. You can also add a background music to the Slow Motion Video afterwards.

 AR Emoji

Just like the Apple iPhone X Animoji, we can now create animated emoji with our facial expression. However, Samsung makes AR Emoji more personal compared to what Apple did. While we can create our own Emoji based on our face, a little customization like skin tone and outfit can be done too. The AR Emoji can be found in the camera app, so you can take pictures or even make videos with it. The AR Emoji is accessible as well right from the keyboard.
