Today, Maxis announced their NeXT X1 smartphone on their Starter 98 plan along with celebrity Scha Alyahya as their brand ambassador. Available for RM98 a month with 6GB of data preloaded, instant 1-to-1 replacement, 12 months screen protection and 24 months warranty the 4G LTE metal body phone comes with no upfront payment and joins the NeXT M1 on the Starter 78 plan. To get the NeXT X1, you'll have to sign up for a new line under a 24 months contract. It also comes with a free case and screen protector.

Stand out features for the phone remains a 5.5-inch full HD display, 16MP autofocus camera and a fingerprint sensor but the brushed metal backside does look nice. Check out the Maxis site for more details.
