Maybank services is down again for the second time but not the MAE app

Update - The services are stable now, you can now resume your transaction on the website and M2U app

Since this morning, it has been reported that both the M2U mobile app and Maybank website are experiencing service interruptions. This is the second time already since the last one about a few days ago but you can still do your transaction business on the MAE app. Wait...why isn't MAE down?

No, really. Asking the serious question here - why is the MAE app still up and running while the other two are down? Of course, maybe it's just a coincidence but it's also the second time. We are just throwing our wild conspiracy theory here but maybe, just maybe, Maybank could be secretly doing this on purpose so that you can use the MAE app more.

In case you didn't know, the MAE app will replace the Maybank2U app eventually but there is no timeline given by the company on when it would happen. It introduced back in October as a new simplified way for Malaysians to manage their finance and there's a new MAE Visa Debit Card as well which can be used overseas.
