Starting on 26 May 2025, Maybank will introduce a new daily transaction limit for reload services. This initiative is part of its efforts to enhance security and ensure a safer online banking environment.
According to Maybank, the default daily limit will be set at RM200 for Prepaid Services and Game Credits under the new policy. Customers will have the option to increase this limit to a maximum of RM500 via the Maybank2u web platform. Below is the table of the new policy for your reference:
Reload Limit Type | Default Daily Limit (RM) | Minimum Daily Limit (RM) | Maximum Daily Limit (RM) |
---|---|---|---|
Prepaid services (mobile prepaid Malaysia/International, Internet and others) |
200 | 0 | 500 |
Game Credit with PIN | 200 | 0 | 500 |
If you want to raise the transaction limit, it requires Secure2u authentication and will trigger a 12-hour cooling-off period before the new limit becomes active on both the MAE app and Maybank2u web. During this period, transactions will be restricted to the existing limit.
As always, customers will receive push notifications and email alerts via the MAE app at the start and end of the cooling-off period. In other news, Maybank also announced that there will be a separate 2-day system maintenance on some of its online banking services. You can check out our news coverage about it right here.
