
Fresh from announcing the flagship Dimensity 9300 chipset earlier this month, MediaTek is set to release another SoC, the Dimensity 8300. Expected to be an upper mid-range mobile processor, read on to find out more.
Taking to its official Weibo account, MediaTek confirmed that the new SoC will launch during an event in China on 21 November at 3pm local time. Besides that, nothing much was revealed about the chipset, except that it will support 5G connectivity.

The Dimensity 8300 will be the successor to the Dimensity 8200 and is placed just below the flagship Dimensity 9300. Based on previous rumours, the SoC is expected to feature a Cortex X3 clocked at 2.8GHz paired with 3 Cortex A714 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and 4 Cortex A510 cores clocked at 1.6GHz. Meanwhile, the GPU is claimed to be the Mali-G52-MC6.
