The government has announced that Menara City One is to be put under enhanced movement control orders (EMCO) after 17 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the condominium. This is the third EMCO area announcement after 2 Simpang Renggam areas and 7 villages in Hulu Langat were put into EMCO. This is also the first directive that involves a condominium building in Kuala Lumpur.
Menara City One is located at Jalan Munshi Abdullah and has 3,200 residents in 502 residential units. All locals and visitors in the buildings are on house curfew. All business activities must halt during the period and a medical base will also be set up there with all enforcement personnel stationed there to enforce the order.

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob mentioned the EMCO will be effective from 31 March until 13 April 2020. However, there are exceptions that are differing from the previous EMCO, residents still can order for food delivery services to be delivered to the building’s lobby and stores selling essential goods are still allowed to be operated within the building's business premises.
With that said, there have been 156 new confirmed cases yesterday in Malaysia so please do not let loose of your hygiene and just stay at home unless you need to buy your essentials. Stay tuned for more local news updates on TechNave.com!
