If you recall, Facebook changed its company name to Meta at the end of October 2021. CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the rebrand is to symbolise the 'metaverse'. Well, that metaverse is making its debut starting with North America.

According to the official announcement, Meta is opening up its first metaverse to people in the US and Canada. Anyone over 18-years-old can access the world known as 'Horizon Worlds' through virtual reality (VR) headsets. For starters, the company will make it downloadable on the Oculus Quest 2. But there's no confirmation of whether it will be accessible with other VR headsets.

In conjunction with the release, Meta is also launching a 3v3 laser tag VR game called Arena Clash. Horizon Worlds also contains mini-games like Pixel Plummet, Wand & Broom, and Mark's Riverboat. Moreover, developers and creators who are interested can help Meta expand Horizon Worlds.

Essentially, you could say North America is getting early access to Horizon Worlds. If the platform becomes available here, would you like to try it? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
