About a week ago, there was news that Microsoft could launch the Surface Go 2 in May 2020. It's starting to look like this news could be true, as more details of the device have been surfacing (pun intended). Sources have claimed that the Surface Go 2 is going to have a larger display than its predecessor while maintaining the same size.

According to Windows Central, Microsoft is going to make the bezels on the Surface Go 2 thinner. As a result, it will house a larger 10.5-inch display despite the convertible laptop having the same chassis size as the Surface Go. The good thing about this is that you can expect the keyboards and other optional accessories to work with the new model. Besides that, the max resolution will be increased to 1920 x 1280.

It's also suggested that the Surface Go will come in two variants. The first one will house an Intel Core m3-8100Y, Intel UHD Graphics 615, 8GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD. As for the other one, it comes with an Intel Pentium GOLD 4425Y, Intel HD Graphics 615, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB eMMC storage.

The expected retail price for the lower variant is USD 399 (~RM1752), while the more powerful variant is estimated to cost around USD 550 (~RM2415). Those estimates are based on the original Surface Go's price, however, so it's might not apply for the new one.
