Microsoft could finally be working on a Surface Book 3

News from Microsoft isn't all that rare but when it comes to laptops, the company has been more focused on churning out other devices like the new Surface Pro X. We haven't seen a new Surface Book in almost two years but a new rumour hints that we're finally getting some updates on a potential new Surface Book 3.

The Microsoft Surface Book 3 is expected to arrive in two configurations, according to Twitter user _rogame. 3DMark screenshots showing the configurations of tech specs were posted, with the vendor listed as Microsoft. We can see that both are equipped with the Intel Core i7-1065G7 CPU but have different graphics cards. The first one comes with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q with 6GB of VRAM, while the other one uses an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q with 4GB of VRAM instead.

So, why do people think this is the Surface Book 3? Because Microsoft's Surface Book series is the only one that uses a mid-range discrete GPU so far. For example, the Surface Book 2 came with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050/1060 GPU. Since the vendor is Microsoft, it's entirely possible that this device could be the Surface Book 3. Of course, this is all conjecture. After all, the screenshots might not even be real.

Microsoft has yet to give an official announcement on this but there's no doubt that Microsoft fans would be interested in this news. Are you keen on getting a Surface Book 3 if it launches? Do let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news updates.
